Your perfect zombie...

I've noticed that hardcore zombie fans usually have a list in their mind of what is and isn't appropraite for zombies.

For example:

IS ok.

slow moving
brain munching
dumb as a post
VIRAL ONLY

IS NOT ok.
fast moving
intelligent
flesh eating
mutated cell zombification.


I personally thing that there are different types of zombies, just like there are different types of non-zombies.

And that they change over time.

Like, a newly formed zombie won't be as slow, they won't be as stiff, they won't have lost all of their humanity just yet...

but over time, they'll lose coordination, lose speed, lose their limberness...

Etc.

I wanna know YOUR thoughts.

people sometimes lump "infection" movies like 28 days later into the zombie catagory.These are not zombies per se and it really irritates me.Granted,zombie is a virus,but in the case of 28 Days Later,it was a rage infection not a zombie infection.Surely Im not the only one who has this POV.

I've heard this complaint before. A LOT of people disagree with the 28 movies being lumped in as traditional zombie movies..

I haven't seen them. I couldn't sit through days and haven't watched weeks...


But I know the premise of them.

I'd be accepting of a sub-genre of ALMOST zombies.. not so much of actual traditional zombies...

Oh we loved the 28 movies.I have never wanted to beat a man's ass so bad as when we watched 28 Weeks.Ya just want to obliterate the father that turns because he basically stalks his kids.But alas they dont count as zombie movies.

That's pretty much the way of the world as far as zombie movies go.

Now alot of people didnt like the movie they made out of the video game.Not Resident Evil but the other one.Gosh what was it called? House of the undead?Something like that.I liked it ok,I remember seeing how the main characters were game characterish.The Asian girls name was Liberty.Anyways,the zombies from the rave held thier malice and hauled ass.They were pissed and you had no doubts about it.I remember liking that bit about it.

In my series of zombie flicks zombies start off fast and time ,rot, rigamrtis, insects you name it that slows em down... I also think fuel supply has a factor too, the more the zombie eats the flesh the longer he stays fresher... Fast zombies that remain fast will destroy everything, ultimately there is little defense against them, moving targets equal less accurate headshot which equal barricade overrun and evryone loses... slow zombies equal next morning clean ups and humans win cos zombies are too dumb to defend themself at night and are good targets for long range weaponry... A nice mix of the two make for an interesting zombie... in my humble opinion... the duiffernces in film as to zombie styles are what make for the most interesting conversations about zombies...

And I agree about the conversation aspect. It is great to see all of the differences..

Which is why I don't so much mind having different types of zombies.

We have different types of Vampires and people are ok with that, so why is it not ok to have zombies doing the same thing?

House of the Dead. THAT movie was evil.

It did have some interesting aspects, if you're looking for it.

But.... I dunno. I wasn't a huge fan of the movie. The gore level was kind of lame. The killing shots were non-existant. The plot was boring...

I think it could have been done 10 times better than it was...

BUT, that's my opinion. I know a lot of people hated that movie.. But there were plenty of people who liked it, too...
