| I don't know about you, but it seriously irks me when a zombie is formed and has already gone through months worth of decomposition and lost chunks of skin/teeth/bone mere moments after the change has completed...
What are some zombie movie cliches that really grind your gears?

| It would really draw a movie out way to long if they had them change to slowly. don't you think? | |

| Well, sure!
But you still don't need to light-speed the decomposition.. Corpses are awesome enough as it is!
OPr at least give a reason as to WHY they are rotting at such a quick rate.
I only ask for some sense of LOGIC... Make it plausible.

| and they would lose their intelligence slowly as brain decomposition took place... starting young and intelligent (with a lust for brains) and ending up as old fools slowly walking around trying to remember where they are going ( post offices, supermarkets, parks etc.. the natural habitat of the old and befuddled) and saying how "things were much better in our day" and " ha!.. young zombies don't know their born!" | |

| In some instances they have the loss of chunks of their bodies due to being partially eaten, clawd, scratched, knawed on, attcked etc... I would also say that what kind of climate the movie is taking palce would have an affect too. Hot and humid would equal faster decomp, hot and dry would bring about more of the leathering and cold, well more bruising but slower decomp.
My issue is when separated body parts still move and attack on their own. Although Evil Dead would not be the same now would it??
