Hardcore~

Underoath. They synchronize an incredible screaming style with beautiful harmonies. The drummer is INSANE!!! It's something you should definitly check out.


I also heavily enjoy As I lay dying. VERY metal. It blnds a mixture of heavy metal with a more modern take. The guitars are amazing, the drumline is pretty typical mostly, but there are some ingenius beats in there...

Another more mellow group would be Anberlin. They're more mainstream, but their lyrics are captivating, the music alone wouldn't be much more than a nice backdrop, but combined with the vocalizing they're transformed a bit...

Lastly, for now...

Alexisonfire.

They combine beautiful vocal styles with both punk and hardcore style screaming. The music is incredible to say the least and most of their songs are simply captivating.

Uhh, as disorganized as this is, those are all of the newer bands I can think of that are honestly worth a squat..

If I weren't so tired and dingy this morning, I'd make it prettier and a bit more comprehensive.
